Vasco Da Confessor (Real Names Issa Ibanda) is a Ugandan Afrobeat/Dancehall artiste from Iganga in the Eastern region of the country, born in the late 90s. He was raised by his parents from humble beginnings and was so much into music but real point of no return came about when he shifted to Kampala in 2015. He begun living in the slams of Kawempe- Kirokole before shifting Kamwokya near Dream Studios. Here he used to interact with musicians who would come to this studio, most of whom saw Ugandan Music icon, Bobi Wine as a big mentor hailing from the same neighbourhood. Vasco used to write songs he never recorded until December 2021 when he released his first single ‘Embeera Mbi’ produced by tk_KWENYE_beat at Dope Records in Makindye, Kampala. This song has become a revellers’ anthem as it expresses problems faced by the common person in Uganda and how they could be dealt with.
