Mama D, the well-known Ugandan
chef Dorcus Basheba Kirabo, is preparing for an incredible endeavor: trying to
set a Guinness World Record for feeding the most people for a prolonged period
of time.
This quest is quite ambitious,
coming after Mama D lost the world record for the most nonstop cooking hours to
Ghana's Failatu Abdul-Razak, who finished with an incredible 227 hours.
After cooking nonstop for 114
hours during a well-publicized cookathon in Kampala at the end of December
2023, Mama D gained a lot of attention.
Mama D made the decision to
focus her efforts on setting a new, significant world record, though, after
Failatu Abdul-Razak's incredible achievement became public.
Mama D recently revealed her
intention to try and set a new Guinness World Record for feeding the most
people for the longest amount of time on Radiocity97FM.
Her commitment was evident
when she announced that she had already registered for the record with Guinness
World Records and was looking forward to their approval as well as the criteria
for the next challenge.
I will return! I've signed up
to create a record that will be both mine and Uganda's. "The largest
number fed for the longest time" is the main idea here. says Mama D.
She said in closing that she
had received a lot of affection from Ugandans and it was only fitting that she
return the kind.
