About 11:30 p.m., Pastor
Bujingo Aloysius, who owns Salt Media and is affiliated with House of Prayer
Ministries International, escaped an attempted murder in some parts of Nansana.
The charismatic pastor was
being driven by an unidentified driver who passed away instantly. After being
taken to Mulago hospital quickly, Bujingo's health is currently said to be
stable.
Security circles have
consistently linked the ADF, an armed group based in the Democratic Republic of
the Congo, to numerous shooting deaths over the years by unidentified attackers
and President Museveni.
Works Minister Katumba Wamala,
who was shot on June 1, 2021, is the last well-known Ugandan to survive an
attempted murder. However, his driver and daughter did not make it. Pte Wilson
Sabiiti, Minister Charles Okello Engola's driver, shot him last year; he
eventually took his own life. Tusubira Isma, also known as Isma Olaxes, was a
vocal blogger who was assassinated in the Kyanja districts a few days later.
