In
a developing saga, the Ugandan Examinations Board (UNEB) informed the attorney
Hassan Male Mabirizi that the UCE and UACE (Uganda Certificate of Education and
Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education) answer sheets for Robert Kyagulanyi,
better known as Bobi Wine, the president of the National Unity Platform, were
missing.
"Mabirizi asked for the
senior four and senior six answer sheets for Kyagulanyi, and in response, UNEB
Executive Director Dan Odongo sent a letter confirming, "This is to
acknowledge receipt of your request and we wish to inform you that UNEB doesn't
have the answer script for those years.
The reason for Mabirizi's
plea to the UNEB was his earlier receiving of Kyagulanyi's result copies in
2020, which caused him concern owing to what appeared to be inconsistencies.
Mabirizi wrote to UNEB with the following statement: "I have taken time to
critically look at the results you made available to me on August 27, 2020 and
acutely observed that the candidate who is allegedly the same as me sat the
same and your statement that between 1996 and 1998, you had no candidates'
photo album. So, in my opinion, Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu appears to have
hired a mercenary to pass his exams at both the Ordinary and Advanced Standard
levels.
