The President of the Ugandan
National Musicians Federation, Eddy Kenzo, recently stated on YouTube that he
agrees with Gravity Omutujju's request that Bobi Wine donate a section of his
vast land at One Love Beach Busabala so that a hospital can be built.
Kenzo brought up Bobi Wine's
public remarks during the interview professing his love for hospitals, saying,
"Bobi said that he likes hospitals, and we too, we like them." Thus,
we will likewise donate if he is able to offer us at least an acre from his enormous
tract of property. Gravity Omutujju accurately stated the situation; he was
worried about Bobi Wine's constant criticism of us for not doing more to assist
others.
The support comes after Bobi
Wine criticized the government's use of Ugx. 13 billion in stimulus funding to
assist the musicians' federation, prompting Gravity Omutujju to have a verbal
altercation with her earlier this week.
Gravity Omutujju transported
building supplies, like as cement and sand, to Bobi Wine's One Love Beach
Busabala on Wednesday, in an apparent attempt to make a statement. This action
was a semblance of him keeping his word to back a hospital project near Bobi's
beach.
The conflict between the
musicians has drawn attention to the continuous difficulties facing the music
business, especially with relation to government funding.
The artists' intention to
improve the neighborhood and meet people's healthcare needs is further
emphasized by their request that Bobi Wine donate a portion of his land for a
hospital.
