Famous video prankster VJ Junior, actual name Mary Smarts
Matovu, is in hot water for missing a school function that required students to
harm property.
Vj Junior is a well-known Ugandan video jockey who has
endured the test of time by translating English films into Luganda.
Mastering his technique has landed him concerts all
throughout the country, including one at St Jude Secondary School in Masaka on
Sunday, July 9, 2023.
VJ Junior arrived at the school on time, according to a
promoter, Didas Ssekiwunga of Didas Events, but he was advised to wait until
the visitation Day ended before beginning his movie translating event.
Vj Junior, on the other hand, traced the school exit and
returned to Kampala with his squad for reasons unknown to him.
During an interview, the promoter said that after
realizing that VJ Junior was unable to attend the event, over 1,400 students
became enraged and rioted, demanding their money.
In an attempt to obtain justice, he filed a police case
with reference 38/11/07//2023. Didas pushed VJ Junior to repay his money
because he had reduced his balance to zero, and he would have to apologize to the
school administration for the disappointment.
In his defense, VJ Junior stated that he arrived to the
school on time and waited for more than five hours since the promoter had not
set up the equipment for the event, despite the fact that he had other events
to attend.
VJ Junior claimed that he is willing to provide the police his story and version of events.
