Bobi Wine and his colleagues
have been accused of hacking into Gravity Omutujju's Facebook profile in a
recent video posted on social media.
As the tensions between the two artists have been rising, this is the most
recent development.
The video included Omutujju, who is renowned for his candid style, expressing
his annoyance: "You paid off the admin of my Facebook page and you signed
me out of the page."
Gravity claimed that Bobi Wine and his friends were purposefully trying to
damage his internet reputation, and he directly accused them of doing so.
Omutujju and Bobi Wine have
clashed twice in the past week, the most recent being this event. The
continuing dispute apparently reached a boiling point earlier when Omutujju's
most recent music video, "Edoboozi Lya Mutuuze," was taken down from
YouTube by Bobi Wine.
After Bobi Wine filed a copyright infringement lawsuit, claiming that Omutujju
had improperly used parts of his song "Kiwani," the video was taken
down. The disputed video was eventually taken down after YouTube launched a
strike against Omutujju's channel.
Omutujju openly mocks Bobi
Wine in his songs and public remarks, which has been the source of their
long-standing hostility.
With charges of hacking and copyright violation pouring gasoline to the flames,
the latest events point to a further escalation of hostilities between the
opposing bands.
Omutujju's claims about the Facebook page hacking have not yet received a
response from Bobi Wine and his group.
