Nampala Sophie known by her stage name Lanah Sophie was born on 23rd September 1989 to Hassan Waswa and Sarah. She started singing as a young gal at the age of 9 years at Nsanji Primary School. At school, she was given the role of soloist at school choir and later after A level she went to Kampala Music School after her nursing course.
She acquired music skills and begun to sing Zouk, Country and Music ballads like Country Gal, Olinga and Ntwaala. Born Ugandan, she has specialized in using the musical instrument called
a guitar and the songstress is establishing her stage name on the music map of Uganda with guitar lead music.
