Wisy Frank Ug

Kabi Franco whose stage name is  Wisy Frank Ug was born on 10 May 1998 in Kamuli District, in Namwendwa Sub-county’s Kyeeya Parish. He grew up in a rural community where family, church and local gatherings played a big role in daily life. From an early age he was exposed to the sounds of Ugandan popular and traditional music — church choirs, local ceremonies and radio hits — which shaped his musical sensibility and gave him an ear for melody and rhythm.

Education & formative years

Franco’s upbringing combined formal schooling with community life in Kamuli. Like many young artists from the region, he balanced school with time spent performing at local events, talent shows and church programmes. Those formative performances helped him build confidence on stage and refine his voice and songwriting.

Musical beginnings

Adopting the stage name Wisy Frank Ug, Kabi began performing more publicly as a teenager. He gained recognition in local circuits for his energetic delivery and ability to blend contemporary urban sounds with influences drawn from his East African roots.
